PFAS in Shellfish

We are currently collecting a variety of shellfish tissue samples to test for PFAS all across the state of Florida. Collection will continue until 2026, with preliminary results expected summer 2027.

We are still looking for help collecting the following fish species from all coasts of Florida. Please reach out if you can help with these species.

Part of our study goal is to test the wild or recreational caught shellfish versus the shellfish that are sold in markets/stores. If you go for shellfish recreationally or a proprietor of a seafood market and interested in assisting this project, please reach out.
