Over the last decade, I have established myself as a leader in the fields of lipidomics and metabolomics, with expertise in metrology, method development, and community-wide harmonization efforts, while also championing the use of these omics approaches as novel phenotypic readouts of health, disease, diet and exposure.
In the area of omics (>40 publications), I have built an international program and reputation as a leader, helping pioneer the arena of lipidomics metrology by leading or being an integral component of several community-centric interlaboratory exercises, conferences (co-chaired the 1st Gordon Research Conference for Lipidomics in 2022), discussion groups (Metabolomics Quality Assurance and Quality Control Consortium), and societies (International Lipidomics Society)), and have co-authored numerous reviews and commentaries focused on various aspects of quality control and standardization. My work has also led the way, with regard to advancement of analytical workflows, introducing the lipidomics processing software, LipidMatch, iterative exclusion software for deep lipid mining and multi-platform strategies. My work has also focused on the advancement of omics as a novel exposure- and environmentally-focused health assessment tool, with >15 publications demonstrating its potential.
