Crowdsourcing surface water collection for the analysis of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) along the Mississippi coastline
Working with Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Mississippi State University, and a myriad of concerned citizen scientists who have helped us collect water samples. To date, we have collected over 200 surface water samples along the Mississippi coast line to measure PFAS, to 1) create first baseline values for prospective monitoring and 2) to find PFAS hotspots.
